Bisphenol A, aka BPA, is found in the cans, and most plastics, and has now been linked to brain tumors, specifically Meningioma.

To reduce BPA exposure, buy items you would normally buy in cans in bulk—which is usually cheaper, and you can store in your pantry in glass ball jars—which is definitely better looking. Reduce use of plastics, especially everyday things like plastic water bottles and plastic food packaging.
